Epi-Man was created in 2004 by Maxime, who was 6 years old at the time.
Here is the story of how it all began...

Chapter 1: Our little heroes look for big heroes
Max (7) and his little brother Xavier (5) both have severe multiple food allergies.
Max is anaphylactic to peanuts, nuts, and many legumes, and he is allergic to eggs, chicken, fish, potatoes, pumpkin seeds, and cucumber. He also has Oral Allergy Syndrome, so a lot of fruits and vegetables make him feel sick.
Xavier is anaphylactic to milk, eggs, and peanuts. When he was younger, he was also allergic to wheat, barley and crab. Xavier also has asthma.
In spring 2004, Max and Xavier's mom sent their photo to Ontario MPPs, asking them to please be our heroes and vote in favour of Sabrina's Law (Bill 3, An Act to protect anaphylactic pupils).
