Epi-Man Honored at Queens Park On 16 May 2005, Epi-Man and his mom were at Queen's Park for the historic passing of Bill 3, An Act to protect anaphylactic pupils, now known as Sabrina's Law. Even though Epi-Man resides in Quebec and will not directly benefit from Sabrina's Law, he was very excited at the thought that Ontario students with severe food allergies would be better protected. It makes his job easier if other people know what to do in case of an "allergy emergency"! Earlier that day, Epi-Man was honoured with a Citizenship Award from Ontario MPP Dave Levac (see photo below), a superhero without a cape – as Anaphylaxis Canada so rightly put it in their Kids' Club Newsletter in the fall of 2005.
Epi-Man receives the Citizenship Award from Ontario MPP Dave Levac. If you'd like to contact Epi-Man or Epi-Man Jr., you can send them an email. They promise to answer. If it takes them a few days to write back to you, it's probably because they've been out keeping allergic kids safe! |
