On March 28, 2007, NDP Critic for Education, David Cubberley introduced the Anaphylactic Student Protection Act, 2007 (Bill M-210) in the BC Legislature. Unfortunately, Bill M 210 did not pass its second reading and died on the Order Papers. The news is not all bad, however. As of Monday, September 10, 2007, BC Education Minister Shirley Bond issued a news release saying she had signed a ministerial order -- with the force of law -- to ensure schools are prepared to deal with emergencies involving students with serious allergies.
